This program begins and ends in Abu Dhabi and departure flights should be booked out of the Abu Dhabi International Airport. Guests flying out of Dubai will be required to pay a surcharge for the

DIA 1

Disembark from the ship at in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates, which was named after a breed of gazelles by a Sheikh of the Bani Yas tribe. It was founded in 1761 on a small peninsula surrounded by a cluster of islands.

Your tour today offers an excellent introduction to Abu Dhabi with your first stop being a visit to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the first universal museum in the Arab world. This museum both ancient and contemporary works of historical, cultural and sociological interest from around the world. Virtually surrounded by the sea, the dozens of buildings that comprise the museum are linked by waterfront promenades and by the museum’s most arresting feature – its dome. As sunlight filters through the dome’s perforations, it creates a “rain of light” effect in the museum galleries below.

Following your enlightening visit at the museum, you will stop at the magnificent Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi. The majestic Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque is probably the most imposing religious and national landmark in Abu Dhabi to date. It is also arguably one of the most important architectural treasures of contemporary UAE society. The late president HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who is fondly thought of as the father of UAE, initiated its creation.

Lunch will then be served at the Rosewood Hotel before driving to Al Wathba, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, Abu Dhabi. Following check-in at this serene, classically designed hotel, the remainder of the day is at leisure with dinner on your own.

Nota: The Grand Mosque does not provide women a headscarf or abaya free of charge and there is no shop on site to buy one. Women must wear a head covering of some type or entrance to the mosque will be denied. For men and women: wearing transparent clothing, shorts, skirts, sleeveless shirts, clothing with profanity and tight clothing including leggings or beachwear is prohibited.

Dia 2

After breakfast at the resort, you will be free to spend the day as you please or participate in the included activities:

You will have the opportunity to take a guided desert walk at sunrise or sunset, during which the guide will regale you with stories about desert life. At the end of the walk, traditional Arabic coffee will be served.

You can also watch falcons perform and show their prodigious skills as hunters. Falcons are a cultural symbol of the United Arab Emirates and have long played vital roles in the lives of Bedouins.

Today, lunch and dinner are on your own, allowing you to dine when most convenient for you.

Dia 3

After breakfast at the resort, you will meet the guide and proceed to Masdar City, one of the world's most sustainable urban communities. There, you will see a sustainability project and discuss topics related to eco-friendly design, water and energy consumption, livelihood, innovation and sustainability.

You will also experience a ride in a driverless electric car, explore advanced technology and gain an understanding of how the city’s ancient Arab architecture was well-suited to the environment.

Next, you will visit the Emirati home of Um Yousef, a mother who has shared her passion for collecting unique items and cultural artifacts with her husband, Abu Yousef. The collection initially began with Abu gathering antique items from family members, friends and acquaintances. Many of the objects turned out to be rare novelties, and the couple’s vision for a private museum was born.

Through the museum, the couple shares their interest in the Emirati culture and cuisine. After viewing the exhibits, you will retreat to an outdoor tented area and enjoy a home-cooked meal.

Following this enlightening encounter, you will return to the resort. The remainder of the day and evening will be at leisure with dinner on your own.

After breakfast at the resort and check-out by at least 12h00, you will transfer to the Abu Dhabi International Airport according to your departure flight schedule. Luggage storage is available at the resort for guests with flights that depart late in the day.

After flying into the Abu Dhabi International Airport, you will be met outside the customs and immigration area for a half-hour transfer to Saadiyat Island. After a 10-minute boat ride across the pristine waters of the Arabian Gulf, you will arrive at the resort Nurai Island. This waterfront sanctuary features a wealth of magnificent amenities for you to enjoy.

You will stay in a one-bedroom Beach Villa that is the height of elegance. It offers a loft-style living room, freestanding bathtub, walk-in rainfall shower, outdoor lounge with a private dining area and an infinity-edge pool. The bed is king size, although twin beds are available upon request.

Check-in is 3:00pm. Although every effort will be made to have your room available sooner, this cannot be guaranteed. If your flight arrives very early in the morning, you may wish to book an additional night.

Dia 2

Enjoy breakfast at the resort before setting out for Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, which you will reach by ferry. Named after a breed of gazelles, Abu Dhabi was founded in 1761 on a small peninsula that overlooks a cluster of beautiful islands.

Your first stop will be the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi, a modern treasure and iconic national landmark. It is named in honor of the former president and founding father of the UAE.

Ladies must cover their heads to enter the mosque. Entrance will be denied for guests wearing shorts, skirts, sleeveless shirts, beachwear and tight-fitting clothing such as leggings.

The mosque’s architects were Emirati, British and Italian and their resulting design reflects various architectural styles. One of the world’s largest mosques, the Grand Mosque can accommodate 40.000 worshippers. Inside, you will see the world’s largest chandelier and carpet, both meticulously handmade. The mosque is also revered for its reflective pools and onion-top domes.

Continuing on, you will next visit Heritage Village. Its small but enlightening museum depicts the daily activities of the Arab community prior to the discovery of oil.

You will then enjoy a panoramic drive along the spectacular Corniche and palace area. Abu Dhabi is often referred to as the “Manhattan of the Gulf” for its profusion of ultra-modern skyscrapers, gleaming white mosques and elegant high-rise apartments. From the tip of the breakwater, you will be treated to a superb view of the skyline before continuing on to the Emirates Palace, the most prestigious hotel in the Emirates.

Here, in the regal Le Café, you will indulge in a classic high tea includes a sumptuous medley of seafood, chicken and vegetarian canapes with truffles and other exclusive ingredients. An inspired selection of handmade pastries, fresh herbal infusions and juices will complement the experience.

Afterwards, you will ride the ferry back to Nurai Island, where the remainder of the day and evening will be at your leisure at the resort with dinner on your own.

Following breakfast at the resort, you will spend the remainder of the day enjoying its amenities as you see fit. We recommend booking a desert walk during sunrise or sunset to take advantage of optimum weather conditions and picture-perfect skies. For a truly mystical experience, embark on a walk at night, and watch the moonlight dance on the dunes. The choice is yours – simply set this up with resort’s activity team

Marvel at the UAE’s ancient sport of falconry and Saluki hunting. Starring the cultural symbol of the region, falcons, and the country’s long-time hunting companions, the agile Saluki, this live show includes a demonstration of hunting techniques and engaging stories. Refeições que não sejam o café da manhã, assim como quaisquer atividades são por sua conta até o Dia 2 do programa.

• Se tiver um voo com chegada antecipada, poderá reservar uma noite extra, uma vez que o seu quarto não estará pronto para ocupação até aproximadamente 15h00.

• Se você reservar noites adicionais por conta própria, os transfers não estão incluídos.

• Os documentos finais do cruzeiro serão enviados por e-mail 21 dias antes da partida. Os hóspedes que chegarem de forma independente antes da data de início do programa não terão o transfer incluído.

• Se não recebermos os detalhes do seu voo ou se os seus voos tiverem mudado e a equipe terrestre dos serviços de destino não tiver sido notificada, o transfer não poderá ser fornecido e os hóspedes serão responsáveis por chegar ao hotel da programação em terra às suas próprias custas.
