Eclectic, artistic and buzzing with energy, the capital city of Santiago is well worth the drive across Chile’s scenic Central Valley. Framed by snow-capped Andes peaks in the distance, ‘panoramic’ barely describes the view from San Cristobal Hill. While the true flavor of Santiago is best found along its vibrant streets, a visit isn’t complete without snapping photos of La Moneda (Presidential Palace), Plaza de Armas and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Discover an intriguing collection of Latin American artifacts and paintings at the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art. Such a cosmopolitan city guarantees fantastic culinary options; indulge in everything from takeout empanadas to creative fine dining.

POST - CHILEAN WONDERS AND WINE - 2026 CODE: SA6L27
Experience the natural and architectural wonders of Chile by driving through the majestic Andes, exploring cities such as colonial Valparaiso and the capital of Santiago, and by tasting some of the country’s premier wines.
Dia 1
Following disembarkation in San Antonio, Chile, you will meet your guide and then proceed for a tour of colonial Valparaiso, which UNESCO deemed a World Heritage site for being an excellent representation of late 19th-century urban development. As you drive through the city’s steep winding streets, you will pass the Parliament building, Fisherman’s Wharf, Plaza Sotomayor and the Naval Academy. You will also ride a cable car to a lookout that presents sweeping views over the city and bay.
After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed towards Chile’s capital city, Santiago, where you will be dropped off at your hotel for check in. The afternoon is at your leisure and in the evening join your group for dinner at the hotel.
Dia 2
After breakfast, you will board a coach and begin a tour that will include the most important highlights of historical and modern Santiago, including the presidential palace, San Francisco Church and the Plaza de Armas with a visit to the Cathedral.
You will then proceed to the Santa Rita Vineyard, located just 45 minutes away from Santiago. Placed in the foothill zone of Alto Jahuel, in Buin, the vineyard is surrounded by an extraordinary natural environment. The tour will reveal the characteristic wines produced here.
Afterwards, you will pause for lunch at Restaurant Doña Paula. This national monument honors Paula Jaraquemada, who owned the main house of the Santa Rita Estate more than 200 years ago.
The estate was the setting for significant historical occurrences associated to Chile’s independence. General Bernardo O’Higgins and 120 soldiers took refuge there after a battle against the forces of the Spanish crown. The winery’s Santa Rita 120 line of products was named to honor those 120 patriots.
After lunch, you will return to your hotel in Santiago. The evening will be at your leisure with dinner on your own.
Dia 3
After breakfast, you will enjoy a scenic drive towards the Andes mountain range for a tour of Portillo, which is considered one of the best ski resorts of the world. Along the way, you will pass through the fertile Aconcagua Province and stop briefly at the monument to the Battle of Chacabuco, which signifies the independence of Chile.
As you begin your journey into the Andes, weather permitting, you may be able to see Mount Aconcagua in the distance. As you climb higher, you will surely be impressed as the mountainous scenery unfolds and the guide explains the natural history of the Andes.
Portillo is located at high above sea level next to the Laguna del Inca with its emerald green waters. The World Ski Championship was held here in 1966 – the only one held in South America until 1990. You will stop at the lake for photos and to enjoy lunch at a restaurant before returning to Santiago.
Back at the hotel, the evening will be at your leisure with dinner is on your own.
Dia 4
Following breakfast and check-out, you will be transferred to the Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago based on the flight details provided. Should you have a late flight, luggage storage will be available at the hotel until your transfer time.

POST - VINA VIK - THE PERFECT RETREAT CODE: SA6L34
Spend three wonderfully relaxing days and nights doing whatever you please at the Colchagua Valley’s most extraordinary hotel and winery, where the options include a cooking class, wine tastings, horseback riding and enjoying the boundless amenities. This is followed by one last evening to unwind in Chile’s capital city, Santiago.
Nota: Due to the number of steps required to access Viña Vik hotel and the bungalow rooms, this program is not available for guests who require the use of a wheelchair.
DIA 1
Disembark the ship in San Antonio, Chile and meet your driver and escort. Transfer through the countryside to Viña Vik, whose name in the local indigenous language means “valley of small lagoons”. The land was originally the home of Mapuche warrior tribes and later marked the southern boundary of the Inca Empire. Drive time is approximately 2.5-3-hour drive depending on traffic.
Upon reaching Millahue (in the Cachapoal Valley), you will arrive at Viña Vik, an architecturally extraordinary hotel and winery. A visionary blend of wine, architecture, landscape and luxury, this property has always placed innovation and science at the center of everything it does.
Much of the hotel is built into the natural landscape and capped with an incredible undulating titanium roof that can be seen from miles around. From the winery below and when the sun is shining, the roof appears to be made of gold. This stunning feature was built this way to pay homage to the valley which was nicknamed “Lugar de Oro or Golden Place” by the native Mapuche people. Norwegian entrepreneur Alexander Vik, with his keen eye for designing stunning buildings, has truly created a property that is like no other.
The hotel features twenty-two individually decorated and distinctive suites and seven bungalows with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in the breath-taking views. Decorated according to individual themes, the suites and bungalows feature exclusive art and design, from elegant pieces of furniture to inspired murals and decorations, as well as exquisite sculptures and paintings. Your luxurious Pura Vik Bungalow includes 360-degree views, a terrace and private hot tub.
Upon arrival, your visit will start with a tour and tasting of the renowned wines of Vik Winery. As you look around the entire property you will see 4,400 hectares of astonishing Chilean wilderness in which only approximately 327 hectares of vines have been planted. This majestic and natural landscape is composed of 12 valleys, each one with its own micro-climate, distinct exposures, all within a wind-tunnel cooled by Pacific coastal breezes and winds from high up in the Andes mountains that provide VIK with enormous complexity and exceptional variety.
After your tour of the winery, you will proceed to the hotel for check in and lunch at Mila Mila Restaurant.
Following a short tour to become acquainted with the amenities of the hotel and winery, you will spend the remainder of the day participating in whichever activity you choose.
Throughout your stay, take time to unwind at the cantilevered slate pool that extends out over the valleys and the lake below. (Insider tip: The sunsets are quite spectacular from the pool deck!). Enjoy delicious meals that are served in a variety of settings, from the indoor dining room to the expansive outdoor terraces that look out onto the valley, lake and vineyard or even in their newly opened and rustic “garden to table” BBQ restaurant.
At the spa, you may wish to pamper yourself and indulge in a massage, facial or body scrub using products made from grapes grown on the property (additional cost) and in the evening perhaps enjoy stargazing beneath incredibly clear night skies.
Optional activities that are included during your stay are:
•Orchard tour with seeds and flower tasting
•Wine tasting paired with creamy chocolates
•Mixology class
•Bicycling, hiking and bird watching
•Enjoying the hotel sauna, swimming pool and game room
Additional activities may be available for purchase. Your Viña Vik Concierge will be able to assist in setting up your schedule. Nota: There may be other hotel guests participating in the same experiences.
Later in the day, dinner will be provided at Mila Mila Restaurant.
Another insider tip: Be sure to check out the “art wall” in the restaurant – see if you can spot the RSSC logo and don’t be afraid to add your own personal touch!
Nota: There are approximately 25-30 steps up to enter the hotel from the vehicle drop off area. Pura Vik Bungalows at Viña Vik are separate from the main building and along with the 25-30 steps to go down once you exit the main building, there is also a downward sloping brick paved driveway and then approximately 8-10 steps down to reach each bungalow.
DIA 2
After breakfast, the RSSC group will set out on a horseback ride along trails with immediate views of the vineyard and mountains. Note how the winery has been designed to blend seamlessly into the landscape and can barely be seen over the vines depending on your vantage point. After returning, refresh and then proceed to a cooking class activity. This experience includes a visit to the organic vegetable garden, where guests will be able to hand pick the various ingredients that will later be used in the cooking class. The experience ends with a tasting of the dishes paired with Vik’s iconic wines.
The remainder of the day will be at your leisure. Choose to relax or participate in one of the optional activities. Please consult with the hotel concierge for a list of your included optional activities operating on this day.
Dinner is included at Mila Mila Restaurant.
Nota: Horseback ride is not mandatory but is included for our group. The ride is slow and easy around the vineyard with several stops along the way for photos should you wish, therefore previous experience is not necessary.
Please check with Reception for meeting location and time.
DIA 3
After breakfast, the day can be spent doing whatever you wish. Please consult with the hotel concierge for a list of your included optional activities operating on this day. We recommend enjoying lunch at the restaurant adjacent to the winery for lunch.
This evening, enjoy a BBQ Countryside group dinner to crown your visit at Viña VIK Hotel.
DIA 4
After breakfast, morning will be at leisure until check out time (12h00 latest). Then, proceed to Mila Mila Restaurant for lunch, bid farewell to your Vik hosts and drive towards Santiago. Check in upon your arrival at your hotel (drive time is approximately 2.5-3 hours depending on traffic). The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure.
This evening, dinner is on your own. The hotel is located within walking proximity to a variety of restaurants and bars. Your hotel concierge will be happy to assist with any dinner recommendations and reservations.
Transfer note: For guests who would prefer a quicker transfer, the hotel has a helicopter pad and transfers may be arranged independently from the hotel to Santiago.
DIA 5
After breakfast at the hotel, check out (latest at 12 noon). Transfers to the Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago will be arranged according to flight details received. Should you have a late flight, luggage storage will be available at the hotel until your transfer.

PRE - THE WONDERS OF THE ATACAMA DESERT CODE: SA6L05
Explore the incredible natural wonders of the Atacama Desert on an adventurous overland excursion that presents a unique perspective of this hauntingly beautiful landscape and the indigenous Atacameños people that inhabit it.
Observação especial: Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.
Dia 1
After proceeding through immigration and customs at the Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, a local guide will meet you at Exit 4 and accompany you to your transportation, which will head directly to the Mandarin Oriental hotel. O check-in é realizado às 15h00. Although every effort will be made to have rooms available before then, it cannot be guaranteed.
The day will be at your leisure with lunch on your own. However, a set group dinner will be served at the hotel.
Nota: Be sure to separate luggage that will not travel with you to the Atacama Desert. It will be collected on Day 2 and
stored until you return on Day 5. Luggage left behind must be properly tagged with your name and suite number on the ship. Bring all valuables, medications and documents with you.
Dia 2
Following check out from the hotel, you will transfer to the airport for the 2 hour flight to Calama, which is in the same time zone as Santiago. Upon arrival, you will collect your luggage and proceed outside, where a guide will be waiting to accompany you to your hotel
Afterwards, you will check into the Hotel Cumbres San Pedro in the village of San Pedro de Atacama. It lies on the edge of the Atacama Salt Flat, one of the largest in South America. This small village is considered an oasis within the altiplano, the highland area of the northern Chilean Andean Mountains. Surrounded by volcanoes and small settlements whose inhabitants lead a traditional life, it is only an hour drive from Calama.
In time, you will depart for the Atacama Salt Flat, Chaxa Lagoon and Toconao, a town built from volcanic rock. The Atacama Salt Flat is in the Los Flamencos Natural Reserve, a surprisingly large and arid landscape stretching north to south over a vast expanse. You can also marvel at the Chaxa Lagoon, a spectacularly beautiful setting, which is split into various clear water lagoons, inhabited by both Andean and James flamingos.
You will then head to Toconao, a traditional colonial-style village known for the bell tower of the San Lucas church, which has been declared a National Monument. Agriculture and crafts are the principal source of income for its inhabitants, and there will be opportunities to purchase items handmade from volcanic rock.
After returning to the Hotel Cumbres San Pedro, you will enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant before spending the evening at the hotel.
Dia 3
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the outskirts of town to a trail where entire communities once traveled in a caravan through the Atacama Desert. As you move along, the guide will describe the lifestyle of the ancestral people and how they tamed wild llamas and other camelids, which you may see along the way.
The landscape is stark yet beautiful and the absolute silence of the desert will be quite remarkable. At the end of the journey, you will toast the experience with a cocktail and then return to the hotel to relax.
Later, you will attend an enlightening lecture on the ecology of San Pedro. This region is home to numerous plants and butterflies that are found nowhere else on earth, yet there is very little scientific knowledge about them. However, the local Atacameños communities possess traditional knowledge about the environment, which has allowed them to prosper in this unique and fragile desert ecosystem.
Lunch at a local restaurant is followed by some free time at the hotel after which you will visit the indigenous Atacameños people, also known as the Licanantay. A local family will demonstrate how they irrigate their orchard and describe their daily life and culture. You will also witness a ceremony that honors Mother Earth and presents her with an offering to give thanks. You may participate in the ceremony, if you wish.
Later at dinner, you will taste some of the ancestral dishes from this region that may include llama, guanaco paté, goat's milk cheese and carob flour bread. You might also sample local quince liqueurs. During the meal, a folkloric group will perform and teach you the basic steps of cueca, the national dance of Chile.
Before returning to the hotel for the evening, the guide will elaborate on how the ancestral people interpret the desert astronomy.
Dia 4
You will depart early in the morning, so you can see the sunrise at Tatio geysers, one of the most important geothermal fields in the world with more than 70 geysers spurting boiling-hot vapor. They look particularly spectacular in the morning, as there is usually a beautiful contrast of colors between the intensely blue sky and the white vapor from the geysers.
Afterwards, you will enjoy breakfast in this amazing setting in the shadows of the Andes. By then, the temperatures will be more comfortable, as it can be quite chilly in the early morning.
On the return to San Pedro de Atacama, you will travel through beautiful landscapes with sweeping views of valleys and perhaps spot wildlife such as vicuñas and vizcachas; the first a camelid, the second a rabbit-like mammal.
Along the way, you will stop in the Atacameños village of Machuca. It is comprised of about two dozen houses built from clay, straw and cactus wood. Here, you might sample traditional foods such as squash bread and a Chilean version of empanadas. You will also browse the San Santiago Church, which is named for the patron saint of the village, and visit the wetlands, where you may spot flamingos, ducks and other birds.
Following lunch at a nearby restaurant, you will proceed to Moon Valley, a geological wonder in the Los Flamencos National Reserve. During the tour, you can take in the extraordinary shapes of the landscape, which look remarkably lunar. From here, the views of the Andes and its volcanoes will be particularly spectacular. As dusk falls, the sky will turn red and gold.
After returning to the hotel for dinner, you will proceed to the observatory in San Pedro de Atacama. You will first observe the sky with the naked eye, as the guide points out the stars and constellations and describes how the sky changes in relation to the latitude. You will then observe different types of nebulae and star clusters through telescopes. There are 10 of them, each offering a different orientation of the sky. Later, while enjoying a beverage, you may ask questions of the astronomers before returning to the hotel for the evening.
Dia 5
After checking out of the hotel, you will proceed to the Calama Airport and fly to Santiago. You will then settle in for a panoramic tour of the city, concentrating on atmospheric areas such as the Old Town, which retains much of its 19th-century Neo-Classical architecture and charm. You will visit attractions such as the Cathedral of Santiago and the Plaza de Armas before settling in for lunch at a restaurant.
The city tour will then continue with stops at the lookout atop San Cristobal Hill and the artisan market Pueblito los Dominicos. In time, you will head for the Mandarin Oriental hotel for check in and to fresh up before the farewell dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Dia 6
After breakfast, you will drive to Valparaiso, a colonial city that UNESCO deemed a World Heritage site for being “an excellent example of late 19th-century urban and architectural development in Latin America.” While driving through the steep winding streets of the city, you can expect to pass by the Parliament building, Fisherman’s Wharf, Plaza Sotomayor and the Naval Academy. You will also ride a funicular to an elevated lookout that offers magnificent views of the city and the bay beyond.
You will then head to the pier in San Antonio and embark on the cruise ship.

POST - CHILEAN WONDERS AND WINE CODE: SA6L08

PRE - VINA VIK - THE PERFECT RETREAT CODE: SA6L32
Enjoy one evening unwinding in Chile’s capital city Santiago and then spend the next three wonderfully relaxing days and nights doing whatever you please at the Colchagua Valley’s most extraordinary hotel and winery, where the options include a cooking class, wine tastings, horseback riding and enjoying the boundless amenities.
Nota: Due to the number of steps required to access Vina Vik hotel and the bungalow rooms, this program is not available for guests who require the use of a wheelchair.
DIA 1
After proceeding through Immigration and Customs at the Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, you will meet your driver inside the terminal after main exit, close to gate N° 3. You will then be transferred directly to the Ritz Carlton Hotel or similar.
Check in upon arrival has been included in the cost of the program.
The remainder of the day will be at leisure and meals are on your own.
The hotel is located within walking proximity to a variety of restaurants and bars. Your hotel concierge will be happy to assist with any dinner recommendations and reservations.
Nota: There can be up to a 10-12-minute walk depending on your arrival gate to get to Customs and Immigration. Our local team will be waiting for you as you exit the luggage claim area.
DIA 2
After breakfast at the hotel and check out, you will be met and transferred (2.5-3-hour drive depending on traffic) to the Colchagua Valley, whose name in the local indigenous language means “valley of small lagoons”. The land was originally the home of Mapuche warrior tribes and later marked the southern boundary of the Inca Empire.
Following a short tour to become acquainted with the amenities of the hotel, you will spend the remainder of the day participating in whichever activity you choose.
Your Vina Vik Concierge will be able to assist in setting up your schedule.
Pura Vik Bungalows at Vina Vik are separate from the main building and along with the 25-30 steps to go down once you exit the main building, there is also a downward sloping brick paved driveway and then approximately 8-10 steps down to reach each bungalow.
Transfer note: For guests who would prefer a quicker transfer, the hotel has a helicopter pad and transfers may be arranged independently from Santiago to the hotel.
DIA 3
After breakfast, the RSSC group will set out on a horseback ride along trails with immediate views of the vineyard and mountains. On the ride, note how the winery building has been designed to blend seamlessly into the landscape and can barely be seen over the vines depending on your vantage point.
DIA 4
After breakfast, the day can be spent doing whatever you wish. Please consult with the hotel concierge for a list of your included optional activities operating on this day. We recommend enjoying lunch at the restaurant adjacent to the winery for lunch.
This evening, enjoy a BBQ Countryside group dinner to crown your visit at Viña VIK Hotel.
DIA 5
After breakfast at the hotel and check out, bid farewell to your Vik hosts and drive towards the San Antonio terminal where you will check in for your cruise. Drive time is approximately 2.5-3 hours depending on traffic.

POST - CHILEAN WONDERS AND WINE - 2024-25 CODE: SA6L17
You will continue through the newer residential areas of the city and stop at the top of San Cristobal Hill for a breathtaking view of Santiago.

Dia 1
After proceeding through immigration and customs at the Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, Chile, your local guide will meet you at the exit number 4 and will take you to your transportation, then directly to your hotel in Santiago.
O check-in é realizado às 15h00. Although every effort will be made to have rooms available before this time, this cannot be guaranteed.
The day is at your leisure and in the evening, you will enjoy a group dinner at the hotel.

POST - THE WONDERS OF THE ATACAMA DESERT CODE: SA6L06
Explore the incredible natural wonders of the Atacama Desert on an adventurous overland excursion that presents a unique perspective of this hauntingly beautiful landscape and the indigenous Atacameños people that inhabit it.
Observação especial: Any guests travelling with Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines should read further below for airline stipulations with regards to bringing this equipment on tour.
Dia 1
After disembarking the ship in San Antonio, Chile you will meet your local guide and set out for the drive to Valparaiso. This is a colonial city that UNESCO deemed a World Heritage site for being “an excellent example of late 19th-century urban and architectural development in Latin America.”
While driving through the steep winding streets of the city, you can expect to pass by the Parliament building, Fisherman’s Wharf, Plaza Sotomayor and the Naval Academy. You will also ride a funicular to an elevated lookout that offers magnificent views of the city and the bay beyond.
After lunch at a local restaurant you will drive towards Chile’s capital city Santiago where you will dropped off at your hotel. This evening dinner is included at the hotel.
Nota: Be sure to separate luggage that will not travel with you to the Atacama Desert. It will be collected on Day 2 and
stored until you return on Day 5. Luggage left behind must be properly tagged with your name and suite number on the ship. Bring all valuables, medications and documents with you.
Dia 2
Following check out from the hotel, you will transfer to the airport for the 2-hour flight to Calama, which is in the same time zone as Santiago.
Dia 6
After breakfast and check out you will be transferred to the Santiago Airport for your flight home. Transfers will be based on the flight times provided. Should you have a late flight, luggage storage will be available at the hotel until your transfer.

PRE - COLCHAGUA'S CHOICE VINEYARD - 2024 CODE: SA6L18
Spend two wonderfully relaxing days doing whatever you please at the Colchagua Valley’s most extraordinary hotel and winery, where the options include a cooking class, wine tastings, horseback riding and enjoying the boundless amenities.
DIA 1
After proceeding through Immigration and Customs at the Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, you will meet your driver between exit doors 2 and 3. You will then be transferred to your hotel.
O check-in é realizado às 15h00. Although every effort will be made to have your rooms available before this time, it cannot be guaranteed.
The remainder of the day will be at leisure. However, a complimentary dinner is scheduled that evening at the hotel, after which you will spend the night.
DIA 2
After breakfast at the hotel and check out, you will drive to Colchagua Valley, whose name means “valley of small lagoons” in the local indigenous language. The land was originally the home of Mapuche warrior tribes and later marked the southern boundary of the Inca empire. The pre-Hispanic irrigation works here were built by the Inca, who were the first to practice agriculture in the Colchagua Valley.
Upon reaching the Millahue Valley, you will check into Viña Vik, an architecturally extraordinary hotel and winery. Much of the hotel is built into the natural landscape and capped with an undulating titanium roof that can be seen from miles around. Norwegian entrepreneur Alexander Vik created the property and it is like no other.
Following a tour to become acquainted with the amenities of the hotel and winery, you will spend the remainder of the day participating in whatever activities you choose.
The choices include (subject to change at discretion of hotel management):
•A wine tasting paired with creamy chocolates.
•Horseback riding, bicycling, hiking and bird watching.
•Enjoying the hotel sauna, swimming pool and game room.
•Stargazing at 11pm, when the stars look their brightest as there is little ambient light.
Lunch and dinner will be provided at Mila Mila restaurant within the hotel, where you will spend a delightful evening.

DIA 4
After breakfast at the hotel and check out, you will drive towards Santo Domingo, stopping along the way at Tricao Park. The park is an expansive natural reserve with an aviary and wetlands-rimmed dam at its center. As you stroll through the massive mesh-enclosed aviary, you will see literally hundreds of free-flying birds, including long-tailed parakeets, parrots and rainbow lorikeets. Ducks and peasants are also plentiful.
You will then meander through the park’s Giverny Wetland, which was inspired by the gardens of Giverny that Claude Monet portrayed in France. The lush setting is extraordinary serene and will leave you in a wonderful state of mind for the drive to San Antonio pier, where you will embark the cruise ship.

POST - ADVENTURE MEETS LUXURY IN CHILE CODE: SA6L29
Explore the Chilean wilds on bold excursions into the mountainous landscape around the exclusive Las Majadas Hotel, where you will luxuriate between adventures and partake in wine tastings, spa services, cooking classes and more if you wish. The activities that you can select will place you in direct contact with nature, the unique flavors of the Maipo Valley and the sounds and colors of the Andes Mountain range.
Dia 1
After disembarking the ship in Santiago, Chile, you will meet your guide and transfer directly to Maipo Valley, where you will take part in an exclusive RSSC group tour to Haras de Pirque. Drive time is approximately 2-2.5 hours. This vineyard is in one of the finest wine-producing areas of the Maipo Valley at the foot of the Andes Mountains. The wines produced here typically feature a high concentration of tannins, great structure and intense color. The native vegetation of myrtles and boldos sometimes impart the wines with balsamic characteristics.
The winery itself has been uniquely designed in a horseshoe shape paying homage to the thoroughbred farm that is located a short distance away. The winery is located on a hillside and was designed to integrate gravity flow technology into all phases of wine production limiting the use of mechanical pumps. As a result, the grapes are handled as gently as possible extracting only the softest tannins and preserving balance and precision.
Today, all the wines and vineyards of Haras de Pirque are organic and certified by the CERES institute which means that only environmentally friendly products are used in the production process.
You will be shown the wine-making process and will taste several of the most distinctive wines. Lunch at the winery follows.
Then, proceed to your hotel, Las Majadas, a truly unique hotel, inspired by nature and located in the Pirque region.
The estate that Las Majadas occupies has been part of Pirque’s history since the 16th century. One of its owners constructed the Pirque Canal that carries water from the Maipo River through the valley and another built the French chateau-like palace at Las Majadas in the early 20th century. A centenary park with more than a thousand trees, including sequoias, palms and Lebanese cedars surrounds the property.
The modern Las Majadas Hotel, where you will stay for four evenings, opened in 2016. Its minimalist interior offers quite the contrast to the ornate palace also located on the grounds, which is used for special events and certain hotel activities. The Sequoia Restaurant within the hotel provides an extraordinary gastronomic experience in an intimate setting. The Kura Spa offers a multitude of treatments and massages to soothe body and soul.
After check-in, the remainder of the day will be yours to enjoy as you please.
Based on your arrival time, you may choose 1 half-day excursion for the afternoon, but also will be able to choose your activities for the next days, which can be 2 half-day excursions or 1 full day excursion.
Available options can be viewed on the website: https://www.lasmajadas.cl/en/programas/full-board-program/
Take note of the activity level as some require walking great distances at high altitudes.
The knowledgeable Excursion Team at the hotel will be able to give you a complete list of all the experiences and excursions available while you are there. Pre-booking is not required.
Excursions. Numerous spectacularly scenic hikes and treks are available through valleys, into the mountains and foothills, to ancient glaciers and to the Maipo River. Horseback riding, vineyard visits, cooking, grilling and cocktail making classes are also available on select days of the week. Choose the ones that sound most interesting to you.
Nota: Please take in consideration that some excursions are weather dependent.
Wine talks (fee). Taste three wines from Maipo Valley vineyards in the Las Majadas wine cellar. Executive Director of Vinifera and Sommelier Gonzalo Rojas Aguilera will share his knowledge of the wines to enhance the experience.
Meditation classes. Free daily.
Tavern on site, open Fridays and Saturdays or if the property is at full occupancy. Sip a cocktail or glass of wine from a Maipo Valley vineyard, the perfect complement to live music in this 100-year-old bar. When the tavern is not open, there is another bar located in the main hotel.
Sequoia Restaurant. Enjoy an unmatched gastronomic experience with dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, complemented by local wines.
Piano Bar. Sip a signature cocktail or a glass of local wine as the pianist plays favorite songs.
Kura Spa (fee). Relax in a calming environment with a massage, aromatherapy, hot stone treatments and other therapies.
Nota:
There will not be a guide staying with the group at the hotel; however, during your stay you will be assigned a Regent representative whose contact details will be provided to you with his/her name and number should you require anything that the lodge staff cannot assist with.
DAY 2 (Day 1 and 2 may be reversed depending on winery hours of operation)
After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to join the activities of your choosing offered by the hotel’s excursion team. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure.
