DAY 1 – March 16, 2027

After disembarking in Sydney, you will be transferred to your hotel, which is located within walking distance to Circular Quay and The Rocks, Sydney’s historic neighborhood (approximately 20-minute walk).

Here you can store your luggage before spending today exploring at your leisure. Your tour director will be based at the hospitality desk and can recommend the best local experiences. Hotel check-in will be available from 3pm, when you will have access to your room, however you are welcome to make use of the hotel’s pool and spa facilities at any time.

Tonight, enjoy dinner at one of Sydney’s most spectacularly positioned waterfront restaurants, offering sweeping views across Sydney Harbour, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. This intimate harborside setting provides a front-row seat to view Seven Seas Splendor sail beneath the Harbour Bridge as she departs Sydney, framed by the city’s glittering skyline.

DAY 2 – March 17, 2027

Following breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart to Sydney airport for your flight to Uluru. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in the Red Centre. Join your tour director for a walking tour of the nearby town Yulara, for your first introduction to Aboriginal culture and history. Here you will find local restaurants and shops, as well as the Gallery of Central Australia which showcases contemporary and traditional works by Anangu artists, expressing the stories, heritage and landscapes of Central Australia.

Tonight, experience the desert in all her glory at the Sounds of Silence dinner. Your evening begins with canapés and welcome drinks upon a dune top overlooking Uluru at dusk before dining under the sparkling outback sky. Listen to the sounds of a live didgeridoo performance as you enjoy a bush tucker inspired menu incorporating native ingredients. A guided tour of the night sky highlights the cultural stories of the Southern constellations and Milky Way.

DAY 3 – March 18, 2027

Rise early this morning for Sunrise Journeys, a multi-sensory experience blending music and light projections that bring to Indigenous stories and art to life against the vast desert landscape. Enjoy breakfast with the iconic Uluru as your backdrop whilst the sun rises, in a mindful celebration of culture and Country.

Return to your hotel to refresh, before continuing your exploration of Uluru up close. Drive around the base of this ancient formation and with an expert guide, embark on the Mala Walk to gain a deeper understanding of the significance of this sacred landscape. As you walk beneath its towering sandstone walls, discover sacred sites, ancient rock art, and hear stories of the living cultural traditions of the Anangu people.

Afterwards, visit the Cultural Centre to view interpretive displays about the surrounding desert ecology, language, and Indigenous history, as well as immersive art and storytelling installations.

Return to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure. The resort offers a range of complimentary activities including a didgeridoo workshop and guided garden walk (subject to change based on the hotel’s daily schedule) or perhaps take a short walk to a nearby viewpoint. Tonight, experience the magic of an outback sunset as Uluru transforms before your eyes, shifting through a remarkable palette of changing colors. Enjoy some light refreshments and alcoholic beverages as you take in this unforgettable natural spectacle, where the stillness of the Red Centre creates a truly breathtaking moment. Return to the hotel for dinner at your leisure, where your tour director will advise of the local restaurant options available.

DAY 4 – March 19, 2027

Following breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to the relaxed, tropical city of Cairns. Upon arrival in the afternoon, enjoy a short sightseeing tour before you check in to your hotel, ideally positioned in the heart of the city and just steps from the waterfront.

Spend the rest of the day and this evening exploring at your leisure. Cairns Esplanade is a vibrant precinct framed by tropical gardens and views across the Coral Sea. Here you’ll find a variety of cafes, waterfront bars and restaurants, offering everything from fresh local seafood to modern Australian cuisine. DAY 5 – March 20, 2027

This morning, enjoy your final breakfast and then check out of your hotel. Transfer to the Cairns pier first thing in the morning in case you’d like to catch a morning tour. For guests who would like to linger over breakfast, the port is a short 6-minute walk from the hotel.

What to bring:

It can be very hot in Uluru and humid in Cairns with the chance of tropical showers, so we recommend wearing sun-safe clothing and comfortable shoes for walking. Fly protection will be provided if needed. Light loose clothing, warm sweater or jacket for early mornings and evenings in Uluru, hat, sunscreen, camera and chargers.

Local Currency:

Australian Dollars. The U.S. dollar is not accepted; however, all major credit cards can be used.

Electricity

Australia operates with 220 volts. We recommend you bring a universal travel adaptor for electric devices.

Luggage information

Guests are permitted to bring 1 piece of checked luggage per person with a maximum of 20kg / 44 lbs. along with 1 small carry on weighing no more than 7kg / 15lbs max. One small personal item like a purse is also permitted.

An excess or overweight fees are payable upon check in for the flights.

Carriage of Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POC) or CPAP breathing machines on internal flights per airline regulations (subject to change as each airline has their own regulations)

1.Portable Oxygen Concentrator (POC) - Guests must obtain a Doctor’s Certificate mentioning their medical condition and the need to carry a POC. Further paperwork may be required by the airline.

2.CPAP Machine NOT being used in flight – please advise RSSC at least 95 days before your cruise if you will bring a CPAP on the internal flight(s) used in this land program. Please supply the make, model and battery type.

3.CPAP Machine to be used during flight – same as above + a doctor’s note is required mentioning the need to use the machine during flight.

*Guests are required to bring with them any details from the manufacturer regarding the CPAP specifications. While most modern CPAP machines are FAA-approved for in-flight use, having a copy of your manufacturer’s FAA-approval status will help to quickly clear any confusion that may arise.

* Failure to provide the above details in a timely manner may result in a denial of this equipment at the airport for which Regent Seven Seas Cruises nor our local ground operator will be responsible for.

*Some hotels do not provide distilled water. While we can certainly request this for you, we cannot guarantee that it will be available. If received in a timely manner, at least 95 days before sailing, requests will be sent on the final manifest that our ground operators and hotels receive. We highly recommend packing your own supply, especially on programs that travel to more remote locations in order to avoid not having it. Please keep in mind the rule for liquids in carry-on bags. Many hotels will charge for distilled water. If there is a fee, this will be added to your hotel incidental account to be paid at check-out. Fees will vary from hotel to hotel.

Documents and Visa Requirements:

A passport that is valid at least 6 months after travel is required.

Guests will need a visa to visit Australia.

Please check with your local embassy for any visa requirements for your nationality for Australia.

VERY IMPORTANT

The name on your cruise booking, passport and any visas if required, must all be exactly the same for flight ticket purchase for this program otherwise guests may be denied travel by flight. Please ensure that all documents are identical in spelling to the names provided for your cruise reservation including first, middle and last name. Manifests generated by the cruise line must match your travel documents.

Failure to have the required documents ahead of time will result in denial of travel and guests will have to pay for any expenses incurred in order to not proceed with the program.

Please note: Land programs that encompass multiple days ashore customarily include extensive and prolonged activity, while those of shorter durations typically have more moderate activity levels. However, each program varies, and participants should be prepared to negotiate a mixture of surfaces which may include inclines, cobblestones, sand, and gravel or natural paths. There may also be a need to climb steps or stairs on occasion. Guests who utilize a wheelchair and those with mobility concerns are advised to check with the cruise line in advance to see if any portion of the tour program may not be considered suitable for their individual situation. Weather appropriate clothing; hats; sunglasses; and flat, comfortable walking shoes are generally recommended.

All land programs are capacity controlled and subject to availability. Programs falling under the minimum number of required participants are subject to cancellation. Pricing listed is also subject to change to meet unexpected cost increases for transportation, land arrangements or currency fluctuations.

Once purchased, pricing is guaranteed and not subject to change. Mid cruise overland programs must be purchased no later than 90 days prior to your sail date. Cancellations made within 90 days or less prior to the sail date are subject to 100% cancellation penalty.
