Explore historical landmarks that include the royal residence Drottningholm Palace, Sweden’s oldest main street and the warship Vasa, as well as unusual attractions such as a museum celebrating the band ABBA.
DAY 1
After flying into the Stockholm airport, you will be met in the arrivals area and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel which is located in the city center.
Check in time at the hotel is at 3:00pm. Although every effort will be made to have rooms available sooner, this cannot be guaranteed.
The remainder of the day will be at your leisure with dinner on your own.
DAY 2
After breakfast, enjoy a cruise from central Stockholm through Lake Mälaren and on to Drottningholm Palace. This UNESCO World Heritage site is the most well-preserved, 17th-century palace in Sweden and at the same time is representative of all European architecture for that period.
The French-influenced palace was built by architect Nicodemus Tessin the Elder by commission of Queen Hedvig Eleonora. A number of royal personages have since then left their marks on the palace, which is the permanent home of the royal family. The southern wing of the palace is reserved for their use, while the rest of Drottninghom and its grounds are open to the public year-round.
After touring the palace, which is on an island in Lake Mälar, you will dine at a nearby restaurant and then return back to your hotel. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure with dinner on your own.
DAY 3
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will travel inland to Sigtuna, Sweden’s first town, founded in 970 by King Erik the Victorious. Its main street, Stora Gatan, is considered the oldest such road in Sweden. While exploring the historical downtown, you will likely see cryptic rune stones. Remnants of Scandinavia’s Viking past, rune stones were commonly raised as memorials to deceased family members and friends.
Following lunch in Sigtuna, you will head to Uppsala, home to Scandinavia’s oldest university. As you approach the city’s 800-year-old Gothic cathedral, you will first see its twin spires, as they soar nearly 400 feet high. Inside the cathedral, be sure to notice the 14th-century murals depicting the legend of Saint Eric IX, the patron saint of Sweden. A medieval king and a devout Christian, he was slain by his rivals in 1160.
Upon returning to Stockholm, you will spend the remainder of the day at leisure with dinner on your own.
DAY 4
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, you will browse ABBA The Museum, an interactive attraction completely dedicated to the Swedish pop band ABBA. Many of the items on display are from the group’s private collection, including their costumes, gold records and plenty of memorabilia. Using the supplied audio guides, you can hear the band tell stories of their rise to stardom and their most memorable concerts.
ABBA fan or not, this museum has something for everyone.
Visitors can use their own cel phones to listen to the band tell their own stories and memories from their incredible career, all while exploring the museum at own leisure with the audioguide. To listen, guests will scan the QR codes found within the exhibition. Guests must supply their own earphones or ear buds that are compatible with their phone. Staff at the museum can assist with connecting to the audioguide.
The Vasa Museum offers an entirely different experience, as it is home to the warship Vasa. It languished at the bottom of the bay for 333 years before being salvaged almost fully intact and preserved at the museum. Besides viewing this namesake ship, you may browse exhibits that showcase the shipyard that built it, the challenges of life on board and the invaluable role women played in the ship’s construction.
Afterwards, you will transfer to the pier and embark on your cruise.

You will then receive one final itinerary from our ground operator with a welcome letter upon arrival or at the hotel. •Look for someone holding a sign with the cruise line logo and possibly your name. If in doubt, ask the airport staff to direct you to the meeting area for transfers or to page our representative.
•Meet and Greet and transfers are arranged for guests arriving on Day 1 of a land program or for extra nights booked through the cruise line and are arranged based on the flight details received by guests at least 14 days before sailing. Guests arriving independently before the program start date will not have a transfer included.

Set in a former shipping house overlooking a canal, this century-old, art nouveau-style hotel is 3.1 km from the Rijksmuseum and 2.1 km from Anne Frank House.

Day 1
After disembarking the ship in Amsterdam, depart for The Zaanse Schans, where you will step back in time. Zaanse Schans is a picturesque Dutch village famous for its iconic windmills, historic wooden houses, and artisan workshops. Discover traditional crafts like wooden clog making and cheese production, explore working windmills, and enjoy the charming views of the surrounding countryside.
Your guide will give a tour of the highlights and afterwards there will be some free time to explore on your own.
Drive back to Amsterdam where you will check in to your hotel. The check-in time is 3:00pm.
Although we are not able to guarantee that rooms will be available before this time, luggage storage will be available at Reception so that you may begin exploring the city at your leisure, enjoy the facilities of the hotel or enjoy lunch on own. Your guide will be more than happy to provide suggestions.

Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky boasts the most sought-after location in the city centre, on Dam Square overlooking the Royal Palace, and a few minutes’ walk from the central railway station, and the museum and shopping districts. Some city center noise may be noticeable.
Day 2
Following breakfast at the hotel, you will enjoy a scenic coach drive into the Green Heart of Holland. In contrast to the urban atmosphere in Amsterdam, you can expect a more natural environment.
Begin with a tranquil canal cruise through the Green Heart of Holland, during which you will get to taste some local Dutch delicacies and stop at a charming local windmill.
Continue to the historic town of Gouda, where you’ll have time to enjoy lunch at your leisure before a guided walk through the picturesque streets. Get a taste of some Gouda cheese at one of the many cheese stores. Delight in a hands-on Stroopwafel workshop to learn how to make this sweet snack and savor coffee or tea at a local bakery.

Day 3
Your day starts with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a short coach transfer to the world-renowned Rijksmuseum which showcases Dutch art and history, featuring masterpieces like Rembrandt's The Night Watch. A private guide will lead you through the highlights of the museum during a 1,5-hour guided visit.
Afterwards, take a short stroll to the canal boat pontoon, where a private saloon boat awaits you for a nearly two-hour cruise along Amsterdam’s lovely canals.
After disembarking the boat, enjoy a guided walk through the city center. This is followed by an afternoon at leisure. Perhaps linger over lunch, browse the shops, or explore other museums such as the Rembrandt house, Van Gogh Museum, the Hermitage or the Jewish Historical Museum.
Day 4
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before settling your incidentals and checking out. A private transfer will be arranged based on the flight details provided, to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. Check out time is 12:00pm. Should you have a later departing flight you may leave your luggage with Reception until your check out time.
Note: A private van or SUV will be used to transfer couples or parties of two while solo travelers will transfer by private sedan. Vans hold a maximum of 4 pieces or large luggage and 2 carry on pieces per person and sedans hold a maximum of 2 large suitcases and a carry-on. Transfers are with driver only.

Please note: Land programs that encompass multiple days ashore customarily include extensive and prolonged activity, while those of shorter durations typically have more moderate activity levels.
